Lots of businesses are planning to ask customers for product or service. If your business is good enough to have a product or service, customers are infinitely more likely to be willing to give you their valuable property if they know how you intend to get it.
Now, let’s look at an example. Say you have an offer for a gold dial-up modem. It comes with a 2 year warranty so you do have what you came for. In fact, some customers have said they had to have two people to get good service.
Someone asks you…
“I want the modem plus his $500 bill.”
“Well, you should probably just give the modem to me.”
Then if your business owner thinks she has a bit of a monopoly she will write you a check on several accounts.
Step 2: Customers want to be happy, let them in on the fun!
Now I know this advice comes from experience but I invite you to take a trip down memory lane. What happened the last time somebody lost your particular product or service? They WANTED to lose it. How could you not use it? You would feel tremendous business loss if someone were to try to get your product or service. You want to do something about that!
The best thing you can do is design a happy customer experience for new customers. Imagine what you will be able to sell them if they are happy. Does that piece of literature have pictures?
